Saltando do Norte

2001 Lusitano Stallion
A.K.A. Urano HS in the IALHA and ABPSL Brazilian Registries
Veiga and Andrade Lineage

"Tando" is a purebred Lusitano stallion with proven performance and an extraordinary temperament. He is descended from the Brazilian National Champion stallion, “Luar des Videiras,” the famous Portuguese Veiga stallion “Venturoso IlI,” and Portuguese National Champion “Conspirado” of Andrade lineage. Tando was imported from Brazil in 2005.
Tando is a “smoky black,” which means he carries a single crème gene (N/CR), along with a black / red (E/e). His foals have a 50% chance of inheriting the crème gene which produces a lighter coat color. For example, a bay or chestnut or black mare will have a buckskin, palomino, or smoky black foal 50% of the time. If bred to a mare with two crème genes (Cr/Cr) such as a perlino, cremello, or smoky crème, Tando will produce a palomino, buckskin, or smoky black foal 50% of the time, and a perlino, cremello, or smoky cream foal 50% of the time.

This exceptional stallion continues to hone his skills under the guidance of Allison Mathy and his loving owner Marsha Busekist. He is currently training at Prix St. George FEI level, with outstanding piaffe, passage and confirmed two tempi changes. Saltando is standing at Lyric Dressage and Queens Lane Farm in Petaluma, CA.
